Web Application Development

Custom SaaS platforms, portals and business applications.

We design and build complete web applications: the interface your users see, the back end behind it and the integrations that connect it to the rest of your business.

This service fits when…

  • You're launching a SaaS product and need a first release.
  • Customers, partners or staff need their own portal.
  • Important operations still run on spreadsheets and email.
  • Off-the-shelf tools no longer fit how you work.
  • Your online store or marketplace has outgrown Shopify apps and plugins.

Problems we solve

From the problem to what we build.

  1. Manual processes held together by spreadsheets and email.

What we build: Workflow applications and dashboards that turn those steps into one flow, with status everyone can see.

  2. Data scattered across tools, inboxes and files.

What we build: A single system of record with the reports your team actually uses.

  3. Tools that don't talk to each other.

What we build: Integrations with the systems you rely on, such as Shopify and Microsoft 365, through their APIs.

  4. An online store held together by apps, plugins and manual order handling.

What we build: Custom e-commerce and marketplace platforms, or a custom back end behind your Shopify store, for multi-vendor catalogues, fulfilment and supplier integrations.

  5. Everyone sees everything, or nobody can find anything.

What we build: User roles, permissions and admin tools, so each person sees what they need.

How the engagement works

How we work with you.

  1. 01

    Scope

Agree the users, workflows and first release, and what can wait.

  2. 02

    Design

Flows and interface, reviewed with you before we build.

  3. 03

    Build

Front end, back end and integrations, delivered in reviewable increments.

  4. 04

    Launch

Production deployment, monitoring and support after go-live.

  • A written update and demo every week
  • One accountable lead
  • Work in your repositories
  • Code and IP owned by you

Ways to start

  • Sprint

Turning an idea, a platform problem or an AI workflow into a clear plan before committing to a build.

A fixed-price, fixed-scope phase of workshops, research, prototyping and technical planning with your team.

    You get

    • Agreed scope and priorities
    • Prototype or technical plan
    • Fixed quote for the next step
  • Pilot

Getting a first release, or one AI capability, in front of real users.

A defined first release, designed, built and launched to production against an agreed scope and price.

    You get

    • Designed and tested product
    • Production deployment
    • Code and IP in your accounts
  • Engineering Pod

Products that need steady improvement, or teams that need more senior capacity.

From one senior engineer to a team of five, working through your roadmap, as your product team or inside your repos, rituals and review process.

    You get

    • Regular releases
    • Maintenance and support
    • Weekly updates and demos

Technical capabilities

Cost and timeline

What shapes the estimate.

  • Users and workflows

How many user roles there are, and how many distinct workflows each one needs.

  • Integrations and data

Which systems we connect to, and whether existing data needs migrating.

  • Reporting

How much analysis, exporting and dashboarding the product needs.

  • Design depth

A clean, functional interface, or a fully custom design system.

  • Security and compliance

Hosting requirements, audit trails and any industry rules you work under.

A scoping call turns these into a real estimate for your project.

FAQ

Common questions.

Can you start from our existing designs or specification?

Yes. We review what you have, point out gaps or risks, and build from it. If there's nothing yet, a Sprint produces the scope and designs first.

Do we own the application and the code?

Yes. The code, designs and IP are yours, and the repositories live in your accounts.

Can you work with our existing systems?

Usually, yes. We connect through their APIs and check early whether an integration can do what you need.

Do you build e-commerce platforms?

Yes, when the store needs more than a theme: marketplaces, dropshipping and multi-vendor catalogues, custom fulfilment, or integrations with suppliers and Shopify. U-Send is an example. If Shopify on its own will do the job, we'll tell you.

What happens after launch?

We can stay on for support, fixes and new features, as an ongoing team or as needed.
